Geretta Geretta

Geretta Geretta, a multi-faceted woman, has worked the globe, from Northern Ireland to South Africa, from Rome to New York City, as a writer/director/actress:

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Geretta became interested in acting during her school years. Although she relocated to Los Angeles, she began her career as an actress in New York's "off-off Broadway" theater scene at Theatre For The New City and the improv comedy group Rusty Nails before she traveled to Italy, where she lived for over 10 years, appearing in over 20 feature films, including Smithereens (1982), Rats: Night of Terror (1984) and Demons (1985), directed by Lamberto Bava and produced by horror legend Dario Argento.

The Write Room

TheWriteRoom.Org is an national, nonprofit organization that extends retreats to qualified applicants in creative writing and allied fields. Founded in 2012, our mission is to advance the impact of women in the media via the literary creative arts and allied fields by educating, advocating and housing.

TheWriteRoom.Org/Screenwriting Competition/2017 seeks to support and nurture the artistic entertainment literature(screenplays) of Women for the benefit of an international and domestic audience. Male writers are also invited to participate but all screenplay entries must EITHER have a female protagonist(s), feature dimensional female character(s) and/or have been either WRITTEN, CO-WRITTEN by a woman.

Rare Form

Rare Form is a bar and restaurant located on world famous Frenchmen Street in New Orleans. Open 7 days a week with live music nightly.

Rare Form is indeed a rare space on the best street in the city for live entertainment. Their dining room and front bar is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cocktail or meal. Their spacious courtyard bar is the largest and nicest on the street, and the only place you can relax outside while watching a band perform.

Rare Form is also the home of MONDAY NIGHT MASSACRE, a monthly screening hosted by the NOLA Horror Film Fest in conjunction with Creepy Fest.

Bar Redux

Bar Redux is an art and music centric space, that has become way more than a bar. They have art exhibitions, and have 'Fringe" style events on a regular basis. Their lovely covered patio is the backdrop to a varied showcase of local talent and creativity. They feature live music, burlesque revues, comedy, bingo, poetry, theatre, DJ's, Film screenings, and cabaret... They have a gorgeous outdoor patio area that has a small stage area, and some nice landscaping. A place to relax, sip a cold libation, and listen to the heartbeat of New Orleans!

Bar Redux hosts a monthly film screening, WEIRD WEDNESDAY, presented by the NOLA Horror Film Fest.

The Voodoo Lounge

Locals can find an array of exciting monthly events at The Voodoo Lounge. Vinsantos Defonte, director of the New Orleans Drag Workshop hosts a monthly Rock and Roll Club For Queers and Queens (and everything in between) called Chain Male. Jennifer Jane also host a monthly party entitled “Glitter Tits” which features a theme, costumes, and dance music by DJ Rusty Lazer.

The Voodoo Lounge teams up with the NOLA Horror Film Fest to bring you SECOND SUNDAYS, a monthly screening.
